The outer varnish finish is heavily crackled and blistered and has several scratches and wear spots. The graphics on the front are still legible but has wear and is crackled from the varnish. The "Baldwin Michigan" stamp on the top is still legible but also has wear. The maker stamp on the bottom is still very dark but hard to read as the ink is heavy and rather blurry. The inside of the box remains bright and still smells of cedar
