Vintage Koss Pro 4AAA Headphones. Hifi stereo. Quarter inch plug.
Tested exstensively. The only issue was the quarter inch plug is sensitive until its seated just right. Its less of an issue on a vertical phone output like that on the surface of a modern mixer. On a horizontal output like that on a stereo reciever I found I had to turn the plug a bit so one ear wouldn't have its signal cut. Once it stopped cutting out I listened to these for almost 2 hours straight. They would only cut out if I shook the cord close to where they plugged into my headphone amp. Moving around in a normal fashion did not cause any cutting. I listened and moved around my computer desk with no cutting for over an hour and 40 mins.
They remained fairly comfortable the whole time despite being old school 70's cans.
The sound was good. Heard all the highs mids and lows on familure music used to test. I compared the sound to high quality modern Audio Technicas and they werent that noticably worse. Obviously I expected the Audio Technicas to outdo the 70's aged Koss but the Koss held up nicely.
Cord is spiral ( telephone style ) and doesn't knot up or kink up.
The knob on one ear can be screwed off and is for optional mic ( not included ).
They look great. Reminds me of vintage studio photos of artists like Pink Floyd using similar cans for recording. I believe these were marketed in the 70' s for hifi audiophile use.
