Vintage FORBIDDEN FRUITS Austrian Rhinestone & Lucite Grapes Brooch Earrings Set

This luscious Austrian fruits set includes a bunch of grapes brooch and matching clip earrings.  This series, from the 1950s, included many different types of fruits done in lucite, studded with rhinestones.  This series is featured in many books on collecting vintage jewelry, including Ann M. Pitman's "Inside the Jewelry Box".  The brooch features individual grapes and gold metal leaves and stem with green painted accents.  It measures   2" x 1-3/8".  It has a working pin and safety catch.  The matching earrings are 1-1/4" x 1" with secure clip backs.  Although the glass series of Forbidden Fruits were signed Austria, the lucite ones were not.  Thus, this set in not signed.  It's a great set for the collector of vintage jewelry, especially if you have a sub-collection of fruit jewelry.
