Vintage Detroit Yacht Club Plate, DYC

$ 18.48

Availability: 100 in stock
  • Condition: Small vintage plate looks pretty good in most lighting but when angled the right way you can see the wear and utensil scratches. It's pretty cool considering it comes from the DYC and is a part of it's history. The last picture shows the wear - it's hard to get it to photograph and again it looks pretty good in most lighting. The "foggy or slightly blurry" affect is there no matter what and may have been that way from the creation of it. No chips or cracks. Please see pictures and judge for yourself.

    Description

    Made by Scammell's Lamberton China Co. for the Detroit Yacht Club in Detroit, MI.
    Found at a garage sale, it must be pretty rare! I have never seen one before in all my years of garage sale-ing and there isn't anything like it (at the time I researched it) on eBay currently or in the sold section.
    Please read the condition box!!!
    It measures 5.75" across so I guess that makes it a Bread and Butter Plate.
    Looks like it has sailing ships, gallon ships or Pirate ships on it riding on the ocean sea waves.
    (DOESN'T come with stand, sorry.)
    I charge for shipping and eBay charges tax (I believe only if you live outside MI; but not sure).
    No returns.
