The note has a vertical fold, but no horizontal fold that we could find. The note retains most of its original stiffness, crispiness and sheen. It is clean with no appreciable soiling and no stains. The edges are intact with no roughness and its corners are squared with no observable rounding and having no bumps. It is all original and is nicely centered.     Description:
    A beautiful extremely fine Banknote from Spain. This is the 15 August 1928, 50 Peseta. The banknote has violet and black coloring on pale blue and dull orange background under-print. It depicts the image of Diego Velazquez, the famous Spanish painter, to the right and the image of the Prado Museum in Madrid on the front. The banknote displays the date and the denomination on the front and only the denomination on the back. The back depicts blue rendition of the famous painting by Velazquez "La rendición de Breda" or "The Surrender of Breda." It has three signatures on the front. This particular note has the serial number D9,006,503, which is displayed on the front once but four times on the back in red. The paper of the note is stiff and crisp. The note has a water mark showing a woman's head to the left on the front. Based on the serial number this is the Republic issue.
