This autographed baseball collection is being offered by a long time Detroit Tigers season ticket holder who has been going to games for over 30 years. He had seats just beyond the visitor’s bull pen at Tiger Stadium and subsequently at Comerica Park. However, the seats at Comerica Park were upper deck behind home plate, which were excellent seats to watch the ball game. I attended many games with him during this time.
All the balls offered were caught as foul balls and used to get autographs from the players. The majority of the autographs were collected between 1985 and 1990 when access to the players was very easy to come by but a number of them were after 1990. Frequently, he would bring a ball dedicated to one team if they were playing that day. That was noted on the ball.
