RAV Pan (Handpan)
- percussion instrument consists of two interconnected metal hemispheres: Ding side (upper part) and GU side (lower part). On the Ding side there are 7-8 tonal areas forming a "tonal circle". It surrounds a central dome named DING (similar to a Gong). On the GU side there is a resonator hole measuring 10 cm. this hole can be played as an Oud or used to modulate the Ding sound. There are several ways to extract sound from a Handpan: blow with your fingertips, thumbs, the base of the brush. Usually the musician has a Handpan when playing on his knees or on a special stand.
RAV Pan F Pygmy has two additional dings (notes) located on the bottom. The instrument is configured in such a way that any sequence of search on the tabs will sound harmonious, and the melody can be selected intuitively.
