Japan Sterling Akoya Pearl Cufflinks GOLF Clubs Ball & Hole (Cup) Vintage Silver
In Japanese silver and akoya pearl, this vintage pair of golfing themed cufflinks is way above par!  They depict a golf ball between a pair of golf clubs, framed by a circle, that gives them a finished look while calling to mind the cup for sinking the ball on the golf course.  Form follows function and the golf ball pearl surmounts the findings, hiding them and at the same time, giving the impression it is suspended between the clubs, over the hole.  Perfect links to wear when you are (sadly!) not
on
the links!  With the captivating luminosity of the pearl and the interesting sculptural design, these sporty cufflinks will stand out strikingly on your cuffs.
They measure about 7/8" by 3/4" and weigh 8 grams.  The pearls are just under 5 mm.
They are signed "Japan" on one side of each finding bar and "Silver" on the other, as shown in the last photo.
Japanese silver is typically 950 and has more silver content than our sterling.
They are in Very Good vintage condition, with expected surface dirt, scratches and tarnish, as well as the usual minor irregularities in the pearls.  They have a lovely vintage patina but would polish up bright and shiny if that's the way you like them; cleaning and polishing are left to the buyer's discretion.
