*70% Rh Humidity Beads. (Crystal Clear Litter Pearls)
These are silica beads not gel beads like some are selling don't be fooled,
8 ounces
of these beads will work for a humidor up to 4320 cu inches and
16 ounces
will work for a humidor up to 8640 cu inches. I have been using these beads in my humidors with great result. I got a great deal on a bulk package of these and wanted to pass the savings on to fellow Cigar smokers.
The least expensive way to use the beads is in a nylon stocking or shallow dish.
You should wet around 70% of the beads with only distilled water. Tap or spring water and Humidification solutions will ruin the beads. A spray bottle is the easiest way to recharge the beads. The beads are clear when hydrated and white when dry.
You cannot have too many beads. Extra beads will give you more moisture storage and will also help your humidor recover quicker after opened. Beads will last forever and even if the beads break in half or pieces, it will not affect the effectiveness of the beads.
