My premium handmade cigar humidors are among the finest available anywhere in the world. Their proven design combines traditional box joinery with contemporary best practices and the world's finest materials. The result is an exceptionally attractive while extremely stable container for storing your fine cigars.
This heirloom quality desktop humidor was painstakingly handmade from solid North American hard maple. It measures 13 inches wide by 9 inches deep by 5½ inches high, is fully lined with weep-free Spanish cedar, and is equipped with two Spanish cedar lift-out trays. With its premium humidification system, this handsome humidor is ready to store from 50 to 60 fine cigars.
The top and bottom of this fine humidor each consist of a custom made three-ply cross-grain laminate and have been carefully mortised into the outer fame of the humidor’s case. The frame of the outer case was also created from select solid maple chosen specifically for its figuring and freedom from checking, warping, and cupping. Front, back, and side components are joined at each corner with five end-facing half-blind dovetails.
Premium hardware installed in the completed outer case includes a pair of Brusso solid brass precision quadrant hinges, a 1-½ inch solid brass half-mortised lock with an extruded bronze thread escutcheon, a pair of 2 9/16-inch solid brass flush-mounted lifting handles, and two hand-cut, tasseled keys.
The entire inside surface of the outer case was carefully sealed with three heavy coats of polyacrylic lacquer. This crucial step provides an excellent vapor barrier that helps retain the moisture needed for proper cigar storage. Six coats of semi-gloss polyacrylic were applied to all exposed surfaces.
After finishing the outer case, the humidor’s interior was completely lined with solid weep-free Spanish cedar. A pair of lift-out trays, also of Spanish cedar. are included to facilitate the periodic rotation of your cigar collection.
The premium humidification system installed in this humidor includes a Heartfelt Industries small rectangular humidifier with 70% RH beads and a Xikar PuroTemp™ Digital Hygrometer. An unfinished mahogany frame covers the humidifier’s stainless body providing an attractive finishing touch to the humidor’s interior.
