Diamond Glass-Ware Stretch Glass Large Underplate, Gold (Marigold)
Large underplate for cheese and cracker set, with raised retaining ring in the center. Starburst at center of base. The base ring has been ground flat. Beautiful stretch glass with an orange/reddish brown crackled iridescence over clear glass, with lots of multicolor highlights. Diamond Glass-Ware was the successor to Dugan/Diamond. They made stretch glass from 1920-1931.
Condition:  No chips or cracks. Iridescence is in excellent unworn condition.
Marks:  Unmarked.
Dimensions:  1" high, 10 1/4" wide.
Color Note: Some pictures are taken with a black background to highlight how the color of the iridescence can change in appearance depending on background color. Both the white and black background photos were taken under the same lighting, only the background color was changed. How the iridescence will look in your home will depend on your unique background colors and lighting conditions.
