Mounted to this bridle is an English Artillery bit quite similar to their model of 1841 (which was used at least into World War I) which would have of course been run through the Blockade into ports such as Charleston, Savannah, Mobile, or Galveston. This item would work well with the Confederate 5 Ring Halter listed elsewhere.  This bridle is ready to ride, fully adjustable and ready for years of service.
